May 24. Last day of Summer Classes!

I AM FINALLY FREE AS A BIRRRRRRD!

…Academic-wise, that is. There’s still tons of Org duties, and then the OrSem for the Freshmen; but those things and academic things are way different from each other. I like doing the latter ones more.

Anyhow, daily narration of events!

> Woke up at around… whatever, since I didn’t really sleep anyway and just studied all night for my Econ Finals. Or at least tried to. All I remember happening was this: read one quiz paper, get drowsy, take a five minute nap, then read again, then take a nap again. I don’t know how those information managed to stay in my head. Haha!

> Studied even more in the morning, and then prepared for the finals. Had a long day ahead, so I had all the things I needed to do today planned and written in my ever handy dandy iPhone. Got to school at nine, stopped by the library to return the Economics book I borrowed for the whole summer, and went with Fielle to the venue of the exams. We came there with twenty more minutes to study. Good.

> One by one, my friends and classmates arrived, and soon enough, professor also got there and had the room opened for us. Took the test for around two hours - I made sure that I really got to shade an answer for every question. I was doing okay in the first part of the exam, but then the second half got me all confused and stupefied. Sigh, the troubles with me and economics. Lol.

> Handed my paper in to the professor which marked my ‘freedom.’ I swear my inner self was already spouting such a beautiful language: F*ck yeah, I’m a free bitch, baby! And no one’s gonna stop me! Went out the room and my friends who finished the exam earlier hugged me and we all started screaming like crazy. You can just imagine how much struggle we had this whole semester trying to comprehend the subject that is Economics. Good.

> Had to rush off after that though since I still had another meeting for an org. It was near the exam venue anyway. Meeting was over soon, and then had a small photo shoot for the same org. Good.

> As I mentioned earlier, I had a lot of things planned for today - so I had to rush for another appointment for another org; this one for Student Deputy. Came at the venue fifteen minutes before, and then did my screening for fifteen more minutes. They said they really liked how I spoke and the way my bubbly and lively personality shows in talking to others, soooo I’m just gonna consider that as a very good thing. Yay!

> I swear, I really feel like my final year in Ateneo will involve a lot of org works. Haha.

> I messaged my Bestest friend in the world after, since we did plan to meet up today after all these months (or a year, even?). We decided where to meet up, and she said she’ll just meet me in Katipunan. Had time to visit Fullybooked like always while I was waiting for her, and finally got to buy presents for my host parents in Japan since it’s both their birthdays this June. Good.

> Bestest arrived at around three, and then we had a super late lunch over at Bonchon. Chatted for a long while, and then went to tour her around my school. It was her dream school too, so she was really happy to walk around the campus. We went to a lot of places and talked about a lot of stuff. It’s been so long since we had dates like this, so it felt so good to be with her again! Good.

> She got to meet a few of my very close friends while we were there; coincidentally too! I felt glad that they also liked each other’s company. Macky suddenly started sharing ghost and horror stories about out school which got Bestest (and I) frightened than we expected. Haha! It felt so good bonding though. Good.

> She had to go home soon since her dad already told her so. Got her a cab, and we talked about another date soon. Hee. Went home to catch American Idol - Congrats to Phillip, by the way. Good.

> Things to do tonight: Org duty 1, Org duty 2, Song Cover Request 1, Song Cover Request 2, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter. (I am crying happy tears seeing that there isn’t any single school-related thing in this list.) GOOD!

Random things as of 10:20pm.

  • It’s amazing how the brain produces lots and lots of creative juices when you’re pressed for time.
  • That’s what I learned in the past two hours while I was doing promotional stuff for a major Org event.
  • That also means I haven’t done any studying for my Econ Finals tomorrow.
  • So why am I even here posting something so random like this?
  • I don’t know.
  • I’m just trying to escape Econ.
  • And I just want to share how great the mind is.
  • Andddd.
  • I really need to study.
  • ..
  • .
  • Bye.
  • O crap. I just missed Glee’s final episode today.
  • Screw you, Econ.

TODAY:

> Woke up early once again to study. I was studying when mom texted me saying she’s gonna drop Sam off here at the condo while she does her weekly Quiapo visit. They arrived at around 9, and then told me they’re actually staying here for the night! Yay.

> Had my final exam for British Literature class today! I had no idea how our professor gives exams, but I’m glad the questions he gave were sort of what I expected them to be. I’m still not sure how he gives grades, but I’m hopeful I get a very good one! Good.

> Passed my Economics research paper right after that; good thing Econ class was adjacent to my BritLit class! I rushed to the org meeting  I was supposed to attend to at 12noon after. Met up with fellow org mates and discussed stuff for RecWeek. We stayed there till three in the afternoon, and then grabbed some late lunch. Good.

> Productive me is happy. Good.

> Went straight home after since I just really want to stay home knowing someone’s there (Sam), and I just don’t really want to stay in school the whole day. It feels great to actually have a family member waiting at home. Good.

> Watched the impeachment trial on television. Everyone’s been tweeting about it and talking about it everywhere. I’m not gonna comment on what I think about the whole thing, but I’m gonna admit it was rather amusing, especially how things ended. Yeah.

> Mom arrived after a few hours, and then went out again with my aunt to do some late grocery shopping. Internet connection got cut off which annoyed everyone of us - lol. Elder sister came home after a while, and Mom and Aunt followed after. It’s almost a full-house! Good.

> Had a feast for dinner since mom was around. Even had cake and other sweets for dessert! Haha. We were able to get the internet after a very long while, too. Dad arrived after dinner. And mom just told us brother’s also coming over to stay for the night, so yeah. It’s probably gonna be a full house. At least, we’re complete! Good.

> Still have a take home quiz to do for Econ class, but I’m doing Org duties first. Actually, I’d rather do any org duty first than do anything econ-related. I have tomorrow for all that suffering for that class. Sigh. Just one more class, just one more! I need to motivate myself. Sigggh.

> Regarding the org thing though, I’m having fun doing it! This is very very fun compared to answering questions I don’t even understand. Haha!

Random things as of 8:45pm.

  • I just ate dinner.
  • Rewarded myself with a fat, delicious, crab for dinner after that draining, excruciating, painful…paper I have to write for Economics class.
  • I just…
  • So much hate for it I can’t even.
  • Or maybe, I’m just really not in the mood to do anything school-related anymore.
  • Considering I’ve been studying non-stop since September, with no official vacation at all, and I already forgot what a decent, official summer vacation feels like.
  • And I’m forever nocturnal.
  • Now that I’m done with the Econ paper, I still have to study for tomorrow’s BritLit finals.
  • I don’t even know how he gives exams!
  • Or what he’ll actually ask, since our classes have always been group presentations, and we don’t even meet everyday since he still has other personal stuff to do that he doesn’t come to class sometimes, without even notifying us beforehand.
  • …Le sigh.
  • I just want a vacation. Even just a week-long vacation will do.
  • Need to motivate myself.
  • Last push
  • (!!!)

Random things as of 1:17pm

  • I’m back home from attending a birthday party!
  • It’s actually Cherry’s brother’s birthday party; I don’t really understand, but for some reason, the family was also invited - and by family, it means only Sam, me, Mom, and Dad since we’re the ones they personally know. Elder brother wasn’t in the mood, and elder sister wasn’t around anyway.
  • Chester (Cherry’s brother) is a batch lower than me in the same school. It’s pretty amusing how I got to see his block mates over at their place, and one of them thought I was an incoming freshman. To be honest, I was quite offended, lol.
  • Kidding aside, the whole party was really fun!
  • I really really think I’m with the most amusing, adorable, and fun bunch of youngsters (yuck, I sound old). I can just hang out with them all day, and I wouldn’t mind it at all.
  • Sister’s lucky to be in this batch.
  • I’m a bit envious. Hahaha!
  • Oh!
  • Also, I’m so happy with my PolSci grades!
  • I was a bit scared to check it out once I got back home, since I didn’t want my night to end up bad if ever I don’t get the grade I want, but luckily - I did!
  • So happy!!! Thank You, and thank you, Sir Gino!
  • I’m also on the third batch for this semester’s enlistment. Got lucky!
  • This is a really good night.
  • Anyhow, it’s already past 1:00.
  • I should really sleep.
  • In a while…

おすー!| (Taken with Gifboom) Sam and I; last for tonight, I swear!

I should really stop posting random vain photos of my sister and I. It’s been staining your dashboards. Haha.

We’ve been waiting for parents to come home all day. We have a birthday dinner to attend to at around five in the afternoon. It’s already 7:00 pm. Le sigh.

May 18.

TODAY:

> Woke up at around seven this morning. I don’t have PolSci classes anymore, and it’s a free cut in BritLit today, so it was a very lazy morning for me. I got today’s to-do list up and ready though, just so I could get things in order for today. College has made me overly compulsive when it comes to scheduling my stuff. Haha.

> Followed my list and got ready at around nine. Stopped by National Bookstore to buy myself a pack of A4 for my Econ take-home quiz, and then finished said quiz at the study hall in school. It was around 10:30 when I went to visit my friends over at their business exhibit. Good.

> Said business exhibit is actually the SOMBA exhibit which is a special offer of the university to the students. Long story short, my friends took the offer and were having their first exhibit for their product. Spent my time there checking out other business ideas from different groups, and also chatting with friends. Good.

> My Econ class was at twelve noon, but since I had an org meeting at around 12:30, I asked permission from the professor if I can just seat-in his next class at 1:30 and fortunately, he complied. Attended my org meeting and talked about important matters for this year’s RecWeek. Good.

> Attended Econ class, which is by the way my last official lecture class for said subject. One research paper and the final exam, and then I’m free from it! After that, I met up with my friends for a bit before attending another org meeting for another org. I knew it, my senior year is a busy year! Hee.

> Talked about how things are going for the different events and projects of the org, as well as some catching up with life and school stuff. Met new people I’ll be working with again. I had to go at around quarter to five though since I still had to drop by the SOM office to settle some things for my first semester this year. Good.

> Productive day is productive! Yay.

> Dropped by Fullybooked once again. I swear, that bookstore is the best thing that ever happened in Katipunan! (If only it was larger!) Had some ‘me’ time, and noted myself that tomorrow’s Free Comic Book Day and I wouldn’t miss that for the world. Comic Book Day means all graphic novels are 20% off! Reserved myself a copy of Marvel’s Civil War, and browsed more books after. Spent two hours or so there, and then went home. Good.

> Was only able to watch today’s episode of AI two hours ago. I admit I was surprised to know that Joshua got eliminated. It’s still all good though, since I like Jessica and Philip too anyway. Good.

> Also, sister just linked an otome game to me, and it really looks interesting! We’re both suckers for this kind of games, haha. Will download it after this! Good.

> Orsem Training/Practice tomorrow! I am ready!

May 17 2012 19:39

Random things as of 7:34pm.

  • Eating curry! Good, delicious curry.
  • And watching American Idol.
  • No one can beat David Archuleta’s version of Imagine.
  • That one was a really, really amazing performance.
  • Just saying.
  • But Joshua’s performance was good though.
  • Still won’t beat David’s.
  • …I’m just saying.
  • And I also believe Philip’s version of Matchbox 20’s Disease is sexy.
  • Jessica, hang on there. Why Jackson Five, Jimmy.
  • Anyhow, still have to finish another take home quiz for Econ class. Maybe later.
  • Gosh, I really don’t like Economics.
  • Le sigh.
  • On to the good news though - I passed the first screening for ADSA! Will have my second one next week. Hope I pass!
  • And also…I sense a very busy senior year.
  • I hope I’m ready for it.

May 16.

TODAY:

> I feel so bad not posting for two days. It’s just two days, but it felt like a long time considering I had to stay away from the internet, or my laptop in general, just so I could focus on studying for finals. Finals aren’t over yet, I only got to scratch one out of three subjects, and that isn’t even technically the finals yet (just pre-finals). Whew.

> Been reading all my readings for PolSci since Monday so that I could prepare for today’s pre-final exam. Hence, the no-laptop-no-internet rule for myself. Was partly able to follow that - partly only because I still have an iPhone where I can update my Twitter just to rant about PolSco and check org-related stuff on Facebook. Finished all my readings and was able to take the pre-finals. I had the same feeling I had after I took that midterms exam on the same subject. I just hope the results turn out the same too. Hopeful!

> Had BritLit and Econ classes after that. Accompanied my friends to JSEC at lunch break for a short while, and then met up with my sister Sam and Isiah over at Fullybooked. Ise had to drop by UP first to settle some things for college so Sam and I went back to school so I could introduce her to my friends. We stayed at JSEC for a while and my friends got to chat with her and even told her stuff about me that she wouldn’t really mind not knowing. LOL.

> Ise finished his errands and we met up with him at National Bookstore (yes, another bookstore, haha). We went back to my friends, introduced him too, and then stayed there for a few before touring them around the school. We stopped by the different areas and facilities in my university, all the way to the Blue Eagle Gym. It was like a short OrSem Tour! They took pictures, and we chatted while walking around. Good.

> Stopped by 7-11 to get us some snacks before going back to the condo. We stayed there for the rest of the day and watched American Pie 2 which they were very much interested in, much to my amusement. Haha! Finished it, and then Ise was fetched by his dad soon after. Sister stayed for an hour more before dad got him. This day turned out really well - hoping for more fun dates like this soon! Good.

> Finished my take-home quiz for Econ class too. I still have two or three more blank spaces which I plan to check tomorrow before passing. Hee.
