ロリタとギャル. | Lolita and Gyaru - December 26, 2011.
That one day when we decided to make the most of Japan and just don’t give a damn what others would think; also known as ‘wear whatever for the whole day and see how they don’t give a damn’ day; also known as ‘our mom wants us to make the most out of what we bought and wants us to wear it since she it’ll look weird for her if she does’ day.
My sister has been wanting to buy a lolita outfit for a long while now, but she has no intention of wearing it whatsoever - it just amuses her. But mom, being that kind of mom she is, wanted her to wear it; I agree with her though, it would be a waste of money if you never wear it even once!
Also, no - I didn’t dye my hair; that’s just a wig, also my sister’s. She said the wig doesn’t suit her (after trying it on) but mom still wants to make sure it gets used, and I’m the only one with the guts to wear it. Well, my mom would do so too, but that would be a totally different thing all together.
We walked around Osaka and Kyoto the whole day wearing those. And no, we’re not planning to become full-time lolita and gyaru.
Only in Japan - I love it.
