Merry Christmas, Tumblr! Even if the day’s about to end in a few minutes. I’m watching my favorite Japanese comedy/variety show in a hotel right now, and they’re featuring SMAP members. Yay, Kimura Takuya!
Also, uploading photos from camera to my laptop. I seriously need to buy another memory card; deleting older photos is really heartbreaking to do.
Oh, by the way, I’m with my parents and younger sister Sam today. We met up yesterday, and I’ll be staying with them ‘til the 27th of December!
This is basically how the first two days with them went:
So. much. fun. I miss them so much!
Yesterday, I toured them around my neighborhood and my university, then we stopped by nearby stations and shopped a lot.
Dad and mom had to look for the church we need to go to for Christmas day, so Sam and I decided to split and go to Umeda.
Took too many purikura photos. We almost tried every booth at the game center we went to - Haha! It’s the first for my sister, and she really liked it too. Just as I expected! I’ve actually been wanting to go purikura with her for a long time now.
Sister ended up sleeping in my place for the night - just the two of us! We grabbed late night snack at McDonald’s near the house, and then I made her hot chocolate while she used this laptop to use her tumblr. It was a sisters’ night - we slept on the same bed and went back to Umeda the next day together.
Christmas day was fun as well! We went to church, and there I found a lot of Filipinos — I was actually beyond surprise for some reason. It felt quite weird. We stayed for a bit after mass, and then walked along the streets.
Took the subway to Nanba where we shopped (again) and took purikura (again!). Ate at this Korean restaurant too, and then went to Karaoke! They wanted to try it out since they’ve noticed that I always go to karaoke with my friends and would want to know how I like it so much. They ended up liking it too!
Grabbed ice cream and and bought an ice cream cake at Baskin Robins - we also did so yesterday, my sister and dad loved it so much - and then went back to the hotel.
Celebrated Christmas with the cake and other foods, took photos of my sister wearing the clothes she bought in Nanba - surprise, surprise, to what she bought! - and then ate more. Haha.
Mom and I decided to walk around the hotel after, and we ended up buying from the guy selling really good takoyaki outside. I feel like I’m gonna get fat with all this eating, lol.
This year’s Christmas is really different. I got a mail from my elder sister and got her gift as well. I feel really happy to have at least some of the people in m family here to spend Christmas with me. Also, I get to practice my Japanese too since I have to do all the talking and translating for them. Hee.
