めっちゃうれしいー| So happy! - The past few days have been really fun and amazing. I can say I made the most out of those days, and I know I’ll do the same for the next days too, while I’m here in the beautiful land of Japan.
My last post has been about the Takarazuka Revue show we went to last December 4, and since then, a lot of other exciting things happened:
December 5 - Attended the Elementary School Visit with my classmates from Grammar class and few other friends from different classes to mingle with the elementary pupils of Kwansei Gakuin. People who know me would know I love kids, and would know how excited I was for this day. It was really fun hanging out with them, and conversing with them in Japanese, while they try their earnest to speak in English - during the first part of the visit, at least. My friends took Purikura after the visit too.
December 6 and 7 - Normal school days, but then again, days in school aren’t always normal since it’s always exciting and fun conversing with friends, getting to know more people, and gaining new friends. I always learn something in Kangaku, rather, here in Japan, every day.
December 8 - My Birthday! I was very giddy and happy that I had my birthday here in Japan, and was so glad to spend it with friends and people close to me. It was also my dad’s birthday back in the Philippines, so I got to communicate with them for a bit too. They surprised me with this really delicious chocolate cake with strawberries inside, and made strawberry tart for me too! There were presents too; I didn’t expect any of this at all, since a simple greeting would have really made me happy already because I was celebrating it with them. Thank you, again!
December 9 - Ryuukagusei (International Student) Christmas party organized by the CIEC office for us. I was also really looking forward to this, since I’ll be spending it with both my host family and friends! Got to wear a semi-formal dress and enjoy performances from fellow international students and some students from Kangaku. I also performed - sang a song with my French friend playing the piano. We practiced only on the day itself, so it wasn’t a surprised that we made mistakes in parts of the performance, but it was really fun nonetheless, and people still liked it! So glad. Two of my other friends also had their birthday on this day, so the three of us with a lot of other international students celebrated our birthdays after the party. It was really fun~!
December 10 - Watched my Nihongo partner’s and friend’s dance performances at their event. As usual, the performances were awesome - actually, this event probably had the best performances compared to the other two they had that I’ve seen. I loved the performances, and am still so amazed.
December 11 - Yesterday. Spent almost the entire day with my host sister - the younger of the two - and went around the town with her. We went shopping for cake ingredients, and did a stroll by the riverside. Bought ice cream too despite the really cold weather, and took new ways to get home. Made chocolate cake with strawberries on top too; it wasn’t the best looking cake I’ve ever did, but it tasted delicious though!
December 12 - Today. I got to see the Kobe Luminarie on its last day this year with two of my friends- I’ve been wanting to see it ever since my host mom told me about it. It was the most enchanting thing I’ve ever seen, and I was really in awe. Everything was sparkly and beautiful, and just really, really amazing. So happy.
I’m sure for the next days too, I’ll be having the best times of my life. I love Japan.
